For horseback thrusting = Vlandian Heavy Lance. For horseback slashing = Romphalia. I dont really care for the footmen but you can go for Menavlion, its pretty fast. I'm definitely a thruster, not a slasher. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for the Vlandian Heavy Lance and compare the stats if and when I find one.
On horseback, you get to choose from an array of weapons in the game. Polearms provide great reach than those one or two-handed weapons. This guide will tell you about the best polearms in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Best Polearm – Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. Most polearms can be used with a shield but are limited to thrusting attacks.
After 300 skill (I think) in smithing you get an increased chance to make "legendary" weapons. This adds a few extra points to random stats in the weapon. If you grind long enough (doesn't take too long really) you can usually get the bonuses where you want them.
You usually need to invest on 2handed weapons early in the campaign to start seeing the damage output later in the game, but I recommend the Executioner's axe or the Glaive if you invested early in polearm and are now switching to 2h. I personally use the glaive for my Khuzait campaign but that shit expensive. 2.
Pure 2h swords in the game that go over 110cm length are usually at around 90~95 speed, but a 1h/2h sword at around 100~110cm will do about 100~110 speed. It adds a nice defensive of option of shield usage, particularly when on foot. Here are the advantages of the different two handers.
A Collection of armor and weapons i added for a game of thrones mod. A few of models have higher than recommended poly count but will work just fine on companions. When i release the overhaul this issue will be addressed and greatly improved.
Generally the weapon itself will say what it is made from. If the weapon says its fine steel then it will smelt into fine steel. There is a pretty cheap dagger available from imperial towns (I think its called a Pugio or something) which smelts into fine steel so it is worth keeping your eyes open for them.
